YAMAHA R1-M

Track-bred. Road-legal. Relentless.

Meet the closest thing to a factory Yamaha race bike you can legally ride home. The R1-M carries a 998cc crossplane inline-four spinning to the redline with that unmistakable off-beat howl, wrapped in carbon-fibre bodywork and hung on Öhlins Electronic Racing Suspension that reads the road and adjusts in real time. A six-axis IMU governs traction, slide, lift and launch, so every one of its ~200 horses lands exactly where you want it. GPS data-logging lets you replay your laps; dual 320mm discs haul it all back down. This is the halo R1 — the one with everything — and it's yours to win.

Specs

  • 998cc liquid-cooled inline-four, DOHC
  • Crossplane (CP4) crankshaft
  • Bore x stroke 79.0mm x 50.9mm

HONDA CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP

Winged. Weaponised. Uncompromising.

This is Honda's no-excuses assault on the litre class. The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP runs a 1000cc inline-four built from MotoGP thinking, breathing through an Akrapovič titanium muffler and pinned down by aerodynamic winglets that press it into the tarmac the faster you go. Öhlins electronically-controlled suspension keeps it planted; radial-mount Brembo Stylema R calipers on 330mm discs give you the confidence to use every one of its ~217 horses. A nine-axis IMU manages torque, wheelie and engine braking through corners, all read off a full-colour TFT. Total Control, the way the factory intended — and it's on the table.

Specs

  • 1000cc liquid-cooled inline-four, DOHC 16-valve
  • Bore x stroke 81.0mm x 48.5mm
  • Approx. 217hp / 160kW (manufacturer claimed)
  • Throttle-by-wire with ride modes
  • Öhlins electronically-controlled NPX front fork (Smart-EC)
  • Öhlins electronic rear shock
  • Radial-mount Brembo Stylema R front calipers
  • Dual 330mm front discs
  • Aerodynamic winglets — MotoGP-derived downforce
  • Akrapovič titanium muffler
  • Nine-axis IMU rider aids — torque, wheelie & engine-brake control
  • Quickshifter (up & down)
  • Launch control
  • Full-colour TFT display
  • Full off-the-showroom-floor delivery — all costs covered
